Competitive Dance Overview 2025-2026
Participation
To participate in our competitive programs, dancers must be invited. However, if a dancer is interested in joining but hasn’t received an invitation, they may request an assessment with the director.
Attendance
Attendance to all required classes is imperative. Dancers that miss an excessive number of classes, as determined by the teacher and director, may be asked to withdraw from the program. Dancers must attend their Technique and Ballet classes on a regular basis.
Code of Ethics
All competitive team members—students and parents alike—must embody:
- Kindness: Treat everyone—fellow dancers, instructors, volunteers, and families—with compassion, patience, and a helpful attitude. A kind word or gesture makes our community stronger.
- Integrity: Conduct yourself with honesty, courtesy, and respect; honor commitments to the team and studio.
- Leadership: Inspire others through positive actions and supportive encouragement; lead by example in both words and deeds.
- Responsibility: Follow all studio policies and procedures; communicate any concerns or questions to the director in a mature, constructive manner.
- Character: Face challenges with courage and dignity; avoid gossip, criticism, or negative comments about any member of our dance family.
- Professionalism: Uphold the art of dance, both in and out of the studio; embrace feedback graciously and support positive change.
