2019-2020 Recreational Division Dress Code

Preschool Programs:

Rainbow Rhythms & Jitterbugs:
Any bodysuit, or shorts with leggings and a t-shirt. Ballet slippers are optional.

Tumble Bugs:
Any bodysuit, bare legs and bare feet.

Hip Hop Boppers:
Leggings, shorts, or sweatpants, and a t-shirt.
Non-marking running shoes that are for in studio use ONLY.

Steps/Shining Stars:
Girls: Any bodysuit; ballet pink tights or socks, pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes.
Boys: Shorts and a t-shirt, black ballet slippers and black tap shoes.

Ballet:

Girls:
Hair must be in a classical ballet bun using both a hair net and hairpins; short hair must be held back with a headband. Pink ballet slippers, ballet pink tights, any black body suit, are required for all levels. Ladies please note that SHORTS are NOT acceptable ballet gear.

Boys:
White t-shirt, Black tights or shorts, black ballet slippers.

Jazz/Lyrical/Modern/Musical Theatre/Tap/Acro:

Hair:
Hair must be tied back or held back with a headband.

Clothing:
All dancers must wear appropriate dancewear. This includes bodysuit and tights, or
dance pants; tank top with dance shorts.
For Acro dancers bare legs are required. Recommend a bodysuit and shorts or biketard.

Footwear Requirements:

  • Jazz: Black jazz shoes
  • Lyrical: Beige jazz shoe, foot paws or turning shoes as required by instructor
  • Tap: Full sole black tap shoes
  • Modern/Contemporary: Barefoot
  • Musical Theatre: Black Jazz Shoe
  • Acro: Barefoot

Hip Hop:

Loose, comfortable clothing, such as sweat pants and a t-shirt. Non-marking running shoes that are for in studio use ONLY
